    W&L Spring Term Abroad

Spring Term Abroad is a special part of the W&L curriculum and experience.  These courses allow students to get an up-close, intensive, and personal experience of the subject matter on-site with a W&L faculty member during the spring term.  Financial aid is available to help off-set the expenses of participation in one of these courses.  Please be sure to carefully read the application information below.

Student Health Insurance:  All students participating in study abroad through W&L will need to have full health insurance coverage and provide the Center for International Education with their policy number and insurance carrier.  If the student does not have Washington and Lee student insurance a supplemental study abroad insurance must be purchased to cover repatriation of remains and medical emergency evacuation (an example of supplemental insurance would be HTH Worldwide insurance services).

Faculty Health Insurance:  Faculty members on W&L health insurance are required to purchase additional health insurance from Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc. to cover medical evacuation and repatriation of remains.  Application forms are available in the Center for International Education.
